Our story

We lived this problem for years before we built Pleaxy

Before Pleaxy, our team ran procurement and e-invoicing at one of the world's largest technology companies, for enterprise customers buying at a scale few suppliers ever see. We connected its invoicing to the procurement portals those customers buy through, and learned each one's rules, formats and failure modes the hard way.

Every day, buyers and suppliers wrote back and forth to fix things that should take a minute: an invoice rejected for a reason nobody passed on, a PO number that never reached the supplier, a duplicate submission, a payment that landed with no word on which invoices it covered.

We saw where those problems led:

  • Overpayments that went unnoticed
  • Late payments
  • Penalties
  • Service disruptions when an unpaid invoice put an account on hold

We've seen it all - and we know the pressure it puts on the people trying to keep things moving.

So we went to the other side of the table. We sat down with accounts payable teams at large enterprises to learn how they really work: how AP and AR talk to each other, and why reconciling offline payments - bank wires, ACH, cheques and the remittances behind them - is still done by hand.

The steps between a PO and a payment are known, repetitive and checkable, yet people still do them by hand: uploading invoices, chasing statuses and rejection reasons, applying remittances one by one. AI finally made it possible to automate them properly. That's why we built Pleaxy: to keep the whole flow moving, from requisition to payment, with buyers and suppliers looking at the same record at every step.

Behind every one of those emails was a person: an accounts receivable analyst at the supplier, waiting on a payment so payroll could go out, and an AP analyst at the buyer, staying late to close the month. We built Pleaxy for them, so the work keeps flowing and people get their evenings back.

The Pleaxy team

What we saw, and what Pleaxy does about it

The full procure-to-pay flow, from the purchase order to the payment.

  1. 01

    Purchase order

    What we saw

Suppliers waiting on a PO stuck in the buyer's system, and invoices rejected for a PO number they never received.

    With Pleaxy

PO retrieval keeps purchase orders in sync with whatever system the buyer runs, so the supplier always invoices against the right one.

  2. 02

    E-invoice

    What we saw

The same invoice typed into one portal after another, by hand, in each portal's own format.

    With Pleaxy

Suppliers invoice straight from the PO, once, and Pleaxy delivers it to the buyer. Nobody re-keys a line.

  3. 03

    Invoice status

    What we saw

Emails asking whether an invoice arrived, and rejections that came back with no reason.

    With Pleaxy

E-invoice status tracking shows both sides whether an invoice was received, accepted, rejected and why, flagged as a duplicate, or paid.

  4. 04

    Payment and remittance

    What we saw

Wires, ACH transfers and cheques landing with no sign of which invoices they paid, and AR matching them by hand.

    With Pleaxy

Remittance signals give the supplier the proof of payment on the invoice it paid, whatever the payment method, so cash keeps moving.

A network that grows from the inside

Buyers invite their suppliers, and suppliers join free. Any supplier can start buying from the same account and invite its own suppliers in turn, so every company that joins brings the next ones with it.

Built to connect

  • Amazon Business

Requesters shop Amazon Business from a new PO, and the cart comes back as the order.

  • Single sign-on

Enterprise teams sign in with their own identity provider.

  • MCP, API and SDKs

Each company's developers and AI agents connect Pleaxy to their own systems.
