Sourcing

Ask several suppliers, compare the quotes, then award.

Start a request for quotes from scratch or from an approved request, and invite suppliers from your list or by email. Their answers stay sealed until the deadline, then line up side by side, scored the way you weigh them. The award becomes a purchase order, a contract or both.

A quote request in Pleaxy closed with three suppliers' answers side by side, the lowest price on each line marked, ready to award

How it works

  • From scratch or from a request

Start a request for quotes on its own, or from an approved purchase request: its lines, cost center, needed-by date and files come with it.

  • Invite from your list or by email

Invite suppliers you already work with, or anyone by name and email address. Answering a quote request is free for the supplier.

  • Suppliers answer without an account

Suppliers answer in Pleaxy or straight from the email link, with a one-time code sent to the invited address. They can upload their own quote PDF, and Pleaxy reads it into their answer for them to check.

  • Sealed until the deadline

While a sealed request is open, you see who answered and when, never a price or a file. The answers open when the deadline passes or you close it early.

  • Compare side by side

Every answer in one view, line by line: the lowest price marked, lead times against when you need it, payment terms, how long each quote is valid and each supplier's risk level.

  • Score what matters to you

Add a scored questionnaire, weigh price, questionnaire and evaluators into one total, and ask several colleagues to score. Scorecards are blind: nobody sees the others' until they've sent their own.

  • Best and final rounds

Shortlist suppliers for another round with a new deadline. Each can be told their rank or how far they are from the lowest total, never another supplier's name or price.

  • The Assistant's read

Pleaxy Assistant sums up the comparison in a few sentences, and every sentence points to the cells it comes from. It compares; it never picks the winner.

  • Award to a PO, a contract or both

Award the whole request to one supplier, or split it line by line. Each award becomes a purchase order, a draft contract at the quoted prices, or both.
